Late season birds make for the most quality mounts because they are more likely to have fully developed plumage. We highly recommend using birds harvested in late November-January for mounting.

Do not allow a dog to retrieve the bird

Keep in a cool dry place

Tuck in the wings and head

R

Wipe off any blood if possible

Freezing

Keep wings, feet, and head tucked into the body

Place in airtight plastic bag such as a Ziploc

R

Remove as much as air as possible place in freezer until you are able to bring it to us
